How did the project appear?

The project appeared from the desire to extend off-line the activity of the financial education website “Milionarul Mioritic” towards the youngest age group: teenagers. Then we had the idea to introduce other kinds of materials as well — so the “Avantaj la Start DVDs” first appeared.

February 2010 - The team increases. We now have a responsible for multimedia content and a social networking responsible.
January 2010 – Webinars of the Second Edition, once a week
November 2009 – A month after distribution was launched, the number of beneficiaries of the DVD, Second Edition, was twice as large as last edition’s total
October 2009 – Second Edition was launched in Timisoara. The number and quality of our partners increased.
July 2009 – Gathering materials for the Second Edition
June 2009 – At the end of the First Edition, over 13,000 young people had access to the information on the DVD
June 2009 – First “Advantage from the Start” Webinars
November 2008 – Distribution started throughout the country
October 2008 – First Edition is launched at a school in Timisoara
August 2008 – Gathering materials for the first edition

Who are we?

Luca Dezmir
Project founder and coordinator. Born in 1968, residence in Timi?oara, Romania. Specialist in dentistry. He owns a personal finance and investments website (http://milionarulmioritic.com), a website on Forex investments (http://fapturbo.ro) and a personal blog (http://lucadezmir.com).

Simona Hupov
Project representative for partnerships and press. Trainer, communication specialist (teenagers and young people). Producer of radio and TV shows for young people. Personal blog (http://simonahupov.com), website dedicated to adolescents and the young (http://tualegi.net). Passionate about horses (personal website: http://calulmeu.net).

Lia Stelea
Project representatives for partnerships outside Romania. Ecologist, postgraduate student in Sustainable Environmental Management. Resident in the United Kingdom.

It is a non-governmental association which promotes innovative projects in the aero-spacial field. It participated at Ansari X-Prize in 2002 and Google X Prize in 2009.
- Center for Reeducation of Minors Buzias
Compared with the institutions with the same profile, the Center for Reeducation of Minors Buzia? represents a national first, through its organisation creating the premises to transform the centre into an educational community which can put an accent not on the isolation of the child, but on the protection and recovery in a secure environment. It was opened in July 2004.

Greenpeace is an independent international organisation, present in 41 countries throughout the world, which acts for changing attitudes and behaviours, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.
- National Penitentiary Administration
The System of the penitenciary admisitration is a component of the system of public order and national security of Romania. The National Administration of Penitentiaries and the units in its suborder are a part of the public institutions of defense, public order and national security of the State.
- Save the Children Romania
Save the Children Romania is a national democratic movement, without political or religious ties, based upon the volunteering activities of its members. Started in 1990, the organisation has subsidiaries in 14 counties presently, over 6,000 members and it benefits from over 800 volunteers, most of them young people.
- The Centre for Prevention, Evaluation and Counseling against drugs of the Timis County
The Centre for Prevention, Evaluation and Counseling against drugs of the Timi? County has among its staff  – prevention officers, doctor, psychologist, social assistant, a specialist in education and learning, inspector for prevention and it’s a part of the Regional Service for Timisoara, a component of the National Anti-Drug Agency.
- Trilulilu.ro
Trilulilu is the first Romanian website of sharing multimedia content. The website was officially launched on January 22 2007. Trilulilu promotes friendship and flexibility, in opposition to the corporate attitude specific to other similar websites.
